Abstract:The effects of soaking temperature, time and bamboo awn on the germination of Phyllostachys pubescens seeds were studied in this paper. The results showed that the bamboo seed imbibitions can basically complete in 6 d; the seed germination rate was the highest at 60℃ initial soaking temperature for 6 days; bamboo awn has insignificant effect on the germination of the seeds at the optimum soaking temperature; and the soaking temperature at 80℃ significantly inhibited the bamboo seed germination rate.
