Abstract：This paper established the quantitative evaluation index system of bamboo species for excellent shoots, which included the indices of shoots taste, shooting period, nutritional ingredient (amino acid content), shooting duration, yield and edible rate. Bamboo species in Huaan Bamboo Garden were evaluated using the index system, and 20 bamboo species with excellent shoots suitable for growing in the Southern Fujian Province were screened. At the end, the excellent bamboo species configuration mode that could ensure the annual shoot supply was proposed.
