Abstract：With the experiment on bag culturing of Dictyophora echinovolvata, we compares the effects of the different contents of selenium in culture medium on the growth rate of mycelium and the activity of its glutathione perxidase. The results show that the mycelium growth rate under the improved formulation is 15.9% higher than that under the traditional formulation of wood chaff and wheat bran. It takes more than 85 days for mycelium to grow to full bag under traditional formulation, while only 70 days under the improved formulation. The mycelium growth could be promoted when the added content of selenium is 0.5-4.0 mg/kg, and mycelium could grow to full bag within 1.5 months under the best formulation. The mycelium grows fastest when the added content of selenium is 1.0-2.0 mg/kg. The mycelium in the bag weighing 1.8 kg could grow to full bag in the completely about 50 days under each formulation. Applying appropriate amount of selenium fertilizer in the culture medium has a significant effect on improving the activity of glutathione perxidase of D. echinovolvata.
