Abstract：Bambusa eutuldoides ‘Huayeqingsi’, a new cultivar in Bambusa Retz. corr. Schreber, Bambusoideae, found in both of Wangjianglou Park in Chengdu and Dawang Bamboo Forest, Baijie Town, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. The cultivar grow sporadically in the artificial plantations of B. eutuldoides ‘Viridi-vittata’. This new cultivar was developed from B. eutuldoides ‘Viridi-vittata’ by means of separation and cultivation. B. eutuldoides ‘Huayeqingsi’ and ‘Viridi-vittata’ are quite similar in appearance. The key difference between them is that the leaves of B. eutuldoides ‘Huayeqingsi’ is greenish but with yellowish-white longitudinal stripes in different sizes on some leaves, which brings B. eutuldoides ‘Huayeqingsi’ higher ornamental value.
