Abstract:Chimonobambusa Makino (Bambusoideae, Poaceae) consists of more than 30 taxa including infra-species and species in the world. Those taxa are mainly distributed in China (areas south to Mt. Qinling and southeastern Tibet), Japan and Vietnam, plus a few species introduced and planted in Myanmar, USA, and Europe. According to the rules and requirements of International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (ICNCP), some experts from International Cultivar Registration Center for Bamboos resettled the cultivars of Chimonobambusa. To date, 17 cultivars of 4 species of Chimonobambusa have been confirmed. The paper summarized the information about those cultivars for references.
