Abstract：The central and local government successively issued in recent years the bamboo industry development planning, which specifies the support policies for bamboo industry development, and these planning have enabled bamboo and bamboo shoot industry to be the important pillar industry contributing to rural economic development and farmers' income increase. Rongchang District in Chongqing Municipality is the home to Dendrocalamus latiflorus Munro, the bamboo town and the national D. latiflorus biological industry base. In this sense, D. latiflorus industry is of great significance to promote the modern forestry process in Rongchang. With a view to addressing the conflicts between key techniques for D. latiflorus industrialization and increasing economic demand, the project of improved cultivation D. latiflorus seedings and supporting techniques for its comprehensive utilization has been implemented. The project, lasting 10 years, made progress in multiple key techniques, i. e., improved cultivation of seedling, standardized cultivation, refined processing of shoot, culm and leaves, cycled use of waste, which promote the standardized development of D. latiflorus industry and understory economy and also provides references to the bamboo and bamboo shoot industry development in China.
