Abstract:The effects of different fertilizer application amounts (150 kg/667 m2, 250 kg/667 m2 and 350 kg/667 m2 annually) on the bamboo shoot yield and soil nutrients in Phyllostachys praecox forest by applying the commonly used special fertilizer for bamboo shoots. The results showed that bamboo shoot yields and subsequently the economic benefits have grown with the increased application of fertilizers, while the annual fertilization rate at 50 kg/667 m2 had the best effect, for which fertilizers had been applied 4 times annually and the amount every time accounted for 35%, 15%, 15% and 35% of the total amount. It is suggest that the annual fertilization in the medium-yield Ph. praecox forests with the target yield at 1000-1500 kg/667 m2 should be applied with the amount 240 kg/667 m2 while the annual amount of fertilization for high-yield Ph. praecox forests with the target yield more than 1500 kg/667 m2 should be at 350 kg/667m2.
