Abstract:Liquefaction of bamboo in phenol and polyhydric alcohols (abbreviation:LB-PPA) is one of the effective methods for improved comprehensive utilization of bamboo. The molecular chain is ruptured by damaging crystallization structure of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin macromolecule structure through solvent reaction, which makes bamboo degraded into hydroxyl compounds with active reactions. The products can be used as adhesives, foaming materials, carbon fiber, etc. This paper analyzed the bamboo liquefaction principle, liquefaction technology, and the applied study of bamboo liquefied products. Future studies should be more focused on the basic theory and pretreatment technique, and relevant product standards should be formulated so as to realize high utilization rate and high added value of bamboo resources.
