Abstract:In order to ensure the seedling quality of Dendrocalamus brandisii cv. songmingensis and improve the afforestation effect, seeding and cutting breeding experiments for seedling raising were carried out in Songming county and Fumin county of Kunming city, Changning county of Baoshan city and Yuanjiang county of Yuxi city, and the quality grading standard of one-year-old seedlings of D. brandisii cv. songmingensis was studied with seedling height and ground diameter as grading indexes. The results show that the grading standards of seedlings in different counties are varied. Fumin county and Yuanjiang county have higher requirements for Grade I seedlings. In Fumin county, the standard is seedling height ≥ 8.31 m and ground diameter ≥ 4.63 cm, and Yuanjiang county's standard is seedling height ≥ 6.55 m and ground diameter ≥ 3.67 cm. Different seedling raising methods lead to the differences in seedling growth status of D. brandisii cv. songmingensis, which shows that the growth indexes of the sown seedlings are better than the cutting seedlings, especially the growth status of roots and the number of culms per cluster. The average number of roots, total weight of roots and the number of culms per cluster of sown seedlings are 7.07 times, 7.13 times and 6.69 times higher than cutting seedlings, respectively, indicating that the growth potential of sown seedlings is greater in the later growth. For the afforestation effect of different grades of D. brandisii cv. songmingensis seedlings, the survival rate of Grade I seedlings can reach 100%, whether they are sowing seedlings or cutting seedlings, Grade II seedlings' survival rate can also reach more than 95%, and the survival rate of Grade III seedlings is less than 82%.
