Abstract：Fargesia murielae ‘Shennonghong’ is a new bamboo cultivar from F. murielae (Gamble) Yi in the genus of Fargesia Franch.emend.Yi of Bambusoideae. In 2020, this new bamboo cultivar was found and identified in the bamboo population cultivated artificially in the Service Station of Shennongding Scenic Spot, Hubei province. This cultivar looks quite similar to F. murielae but with light-red, red or purple-red culm, which is of great ornamental value. This cultivar was authorized by International Cultivar Registration Authority for bamboos in December 2020 and the accession number is No. WB-001-2020-049.
