Abstract：The differences in the appearance of bamboo shoots from four main production areas of Dendrocalamus latiflorus (Liubei district, Liunan district, Yufeng district and Liucheng county) in Liuzhou city, Guangxi, are investigated and analyzed. The results show that there are extremely significant differences in the length, base diameter and quality of individual bamboo shoots from different regions (P<0.01). Among them, the length of individual bamboo shoots from Liucheng county is the largest, averagely at 58.98 cm, the basal diameter and quality of individual bamboo shoots from Liunan district are the best, with an average of 13.90 cm and 3 140.52 g/shoot, respectively, and there the quality of individual shoot is extremely significantly positive correlated with the length and base diameter, especially with base diameter (R=0.930). Generally, the shoot appearance of Dendrocalamus latiflorus from Liunan District is better than that from the other three areas.
