Abstract：In order to achieve more effective chemical processing and efficient utilization of moso bamboo, this study takes 3-4-year-old Phyllostachys edulis to explore the effect of delignification on fiber morphology and chemical component in different parts along the radial direction of moso bamboo. The results show that delignification has a significant effect on fiber width and wall thickness, but little effect on fiber length. With the increase of processing time, the fiber length-width ratio decreases and the fiber wall-cavity ratio increases. The relative crystallinity of cellulose increases with the extension of delignification time. Compared with the green part and the middle part of bamboo culm, delignification has more significant effect on the fiber morphology and chemical components of the yellow part.
