Abstract：The leaves from 10 species of bamboos in Yibin city are taken to extract active components, and the contents of flavonoids, polyphenols, total sugars, reducing sugars and polysaccharides in 60% ethanol extracts are analyzed to explore the effects of bamboo leave extracts of different bamboo species on the growth of yeast, in order to select suitable bamboo species for producing auxiliary materials for liquor brewing. The results show that these bamboo species have no obvious inhibitory zone on yeast, except Bambusa changningensis Yi et B. X. Li, which indicates that bamboo has no inhibitory effect on the growth of yeast, and there is certain feasibility to use bamboo leaves as the auxiliary material for liquor brewing.
