Abstract：This study sets up the sample plots in the main distribution area of Phyllostachys edulis forests in Suichang county, Zhejiang province, and conduct sampled investigations of arthropod communities once a month from March to November, 2017, in order to compare the species composition of the communities and reveal the species richness and diversity of different Ph. edulis bamboo forests. The results show that there are 111 species of arthropod, belonging to 98 genera, 43 families, 10 orders. The family pyralidae has the highest abundance. The species number of insects is different in the distribution areas of the bamboo forests, which is ordered by Sanren Township > Miaogao Street > Ankou Township > Gaoping Township > Yingcun Township > Beijie Town. This results reveal the diversity of arthropod in Ph. edulis forest in different regions of Suichang county, which can provide references for the development of bamboo forest management measures and the pest control.
